ROMANTIC & INTIMATE
(Romantic restaurants in Dublin. Restaurant ideas for Valentine's day)

Pearl Brasserie
Sebastien Masi and Kirsten Batt are partners at this highly respected restaurant. Masi grew up in France and began his training as a chef at the tender age of fifteen. Since then he has worked in many restaurants including Patrick Guilbauds restaurant (two-star Michelin). His philosophy is simple - good food, comfortable surroundings with friendly & attentive staff. Pearl Brasserie serves traditional French cuisine in a warm, modern, informal environment with tranquil music playing in the Oyster Bar as you relax beside a giant peat fire and exotic aquarium.

Il Baccaro
Il Baccaro is tucked away on a corner of Meeting House Square. It can only be a good sign when an Italian restaurant is packed with Italians, both eating and serving the food, and this is the case here. Il Baccaro is really a dimly lit cavern which serves as a small intimate dining room, but is not overly cramped.

Jaipur
You will be challenged to find a bad review of trendy Indian restaurant Jaipur. Named after the 'Jewel of Rajasthan', Jaipur does indeed sparkle with modern subtle decor and accolade winning cuisine. Diners can choose from a well thought out A La Carte menu or a very reasonable early bird offering. Sister restaurants have been opened in Dalkey and Malahide.
One Pico
One Pico is located in a laneway near St Stephen’s Green,or more precisely on the corner of Molesworth Lane and Schoolhouse Lane, at the back of Molesworth Street.

If you were to create a Premier League of Dublin restaurants, there's no doubt that One Pico would be in the top half-dozen. Apart from the pleasing room and the professional service, the quality of the food is well above the norm.

Eamon O'Reilly (chef/proprietor) runs the restaurant with a steady guiding hand and specialises in modern Irish and new world cuisine. The surroundings are elegant, with crisp white linen and fine china and glassware. The treats served up from the kitchen are sophisticated and refreshingly different. Definelty one to impress a loved one with.

40 Foot
Located in Dun Laoghaire , this ultra-modern bright, spacious and airy two-storey bar and restaurant is designed to make the most of views over the harbour and Dublin Bay . The choice is wide and the menu reads well - rocket salad, smoked salmon risotto, duck breast with polenta, tian of salmon. The food is attractively presented and well-informed, attentive staff will ensure you want to return again.

ETHNIC AND DIFFERENT

Diwali
Diwali is a newly reopened Indian eaterie which brings together the mixed management and chef skills of a team from various other top end Indian restaurants around Dublin. The flair in the kitchen is immediately obvious to all first time customers as is the faultlessly attentive, yet non-intrusive, table service. Presentation and diner satisfaction are all important at impressive Diwali and it shows. Their customers are, invariably, all repeat visitors.
Alilang
Alilang is Dublin's first Korean restaurant and is conveniently located on Parnell Street, just off the end of O'Connell St. near The Ambassador theatre. The A La Carte menu is extensive and includes oriental vegetables, mixed rice, Korean noodles, bamboo dishes, stews in stoneware and much, much more. There are plenty of meat and fish dishes which you can even barbeque yourself at your own table should you desire.
El Bahia
This Moroccan restaurant oozes attitude across each of its four dining rooms. Each room offers different themes and Moroccan décor. Some of the rooms at El Bahia are ideal for private parties, social events and business functions. El Bahia provides dishes from every area including cous cous, the national dish; Mechoui - lamb roasted over an open fire; Tajine - tender stew with meat, vegetables and spices and lots more exotic concoctions.
